Which shops can take an order here
Ask Around places every order on the shop's own checkout over the Universal Commerce Protocol. A shop can take one only if it says so in its own manifest.
What we check
Each shop publishes a manifest at /.well-known/ucp. A shop can take an order from Ask Around when that manifest lists a shopping service over MCP, the checkout capability, and the Shop Pay payment handler, which is how you pay. This is the same check the checkout runs before you reach that shop. A shop that can’t still shows in search and in your cart, and the checkout says so plainly.
Placing an order also needs this site to be allowed to complete purchases. Until Shopify grants that, every checkout stops one step short and says so, whatever this page shows.
